World Sea
Home of the Serpent
Geography
A vast, deep ocean encircling Midgard, it overflows and creates waterfalls on the World Tree. It’s mostly devoid of islands and it houses Jörmungandr.
Localized Phenomena
Water from the sea overflows and creates giant waterfalls which fall down the length of the Yggdrasill and feed into Urðarbrunnr. It gains its water back from heavy rains and numerous rivers flowing into it.
Climate
The sea is violent and dangerous due to giant waves and constant heavy storms.
History
World Sea used to be a shallow sea, but after Jörmungandr’s banishment from Asgard it has slowly risen in height due to Serpent’s enormous volume.
